We utilise modern technology and traditional craftsmanship to deliver the best possible marine systems. We are guided by two principles: monozukuri and the need for decarbonization.
Monozukuri is the Japanese concept of the skill, science and craft of making things well. At the heart of Oystercatcher Engineering is a core belief in the importance of doing a good job.
Decarbonisation: there is an urgent need for everyone to both reduce carbon emissions and to adapt to a changing climate. This will require all of us to be thoughtful about how we enjoy and work in the marine environment and will mean changes in the vessels and the technologies that we use.
Oystercatcher Engineering seeks to provide our clients with elegant and properly engineered solutions in this changing environment.
The company was founded by Hugh Clayton, a Chartered Engineer with three decades experience in the design and use of advanced technology in mission-critical applications.
